As we manage the provision of care to each of our clients you will be expected to adhere to our company policies and procedures, and client care plans, to ensure that the level of care provided is to the highest standard. As part of our management agreement the standard of your work will be reviewed at regular intervals.
Whilst it is not essential that you have worked as a carer before, you must have the skills, life experience and qualities to make a good carer;

The application process
If your written application is successful then you will be invited to interview.
In most cases this interview is face to face with one of our managers and will be arranged at a convenient location to both parties.
If you are unable to attend a face to face interview then arrangements can be made for your interview to be conducted via Skype.
If you are successful at interview, you will be asked to provide some essential documents to enable us to complete the registration process and match you with a suitable client.
Full Recruitment Process

Application
To apply for a carer position please send your CV along with a covering letter to us and if you are a suitable candidate we will contact you within 5 working days for a telephone interview.
Telephone interview
During the telephone interview you will be asked questions about your previous experience, skills and qualifications. The manager conducting the telephone interview will advise you whether or not you have successfully completed the first part of the interview process, and if so, you will be sent a recruitment pack to complete.
Face to face interview
Having completed the recruitment pack, if your application is successful we will then invite you to attend a face to face interview with one of our managers. This interview will last between 45 and 90 minutes. You must bring the documents specified in “Required Documents” as listed below to your interview. If you successfully complete this stage of the application process then you will be offered the position of care worker subject to 3 satisfactory references and negative DBS check. You will not be offered a placement as a carer until this stage of the process has been completed.
DBS check
We are legally required to use the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) which helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups. This replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
Induction, training and placement
If you are a successful applicant we will then look at placing you with one of our clients. Prior to your first placement you will undertake your induction with one of our managers. The induction process includes a thorough explanation of our company policies and procedures, a care plan and risk assessment. You will shadow a manager / senior care worker and be observed by a manager at intervals throughout the induction process. Once you have successfully completed your induction you will be prepared for your initial placement. You will undertake training as required in all core areas and commit to regular refresher training. You will always be fully briefed before attending any placement and will have the continuity of support from your manager to ensure that you are able to perform your role to the highest standard required as a County Carer.
Required Documents
You will need to provide the following documents if you are invited to interview (please bring the original and a copy of each item):
- Passport
- Photographic driving licence
- 2 x recent ‘head and shoulders’ photographs of yourself
- Proof of right to work in the UK (if applicable)
- Evidence of your National Insurance number
- 3 x letters of reference or contact details for 3 x referees ( 2 x professional, 1 of whom must be your most recent employer and 1 x personal )
- Any qualification certificates
- Proof of your current address (utility bills, statements, driving licence, etc. dated within 3 months)
- Police check from country of origin if appropriate
You will be advised by a member of the management team regarding our procedure for your DBS enchanced disclosure and DBS Adult First check application.
